Spring/Summer Interior Trends for 2016 – Classic Decoration

Posted April 13, 2016 In: /

We have created some trend boards to help you with your Spring/Summer 2016 interiors. Working from our new Style Studio Roller & Vertical Collection you can create these looks at home.

The key interior trends we have focused on are Classic Decoration, Artisan Traveller and Dark Botanics. These are our favourite trends for SS16. We have created trend boards so you can see our inspiration photos and how these relate to the blind fabrics we have created for you to use in your home. We will start to elaborate on each trend over the next few weeks so you can see which designs and fabrics work well throughout your home.

Create these trend stories in your own home by using a leading pattern or block of colour for your blinds and then add accessories in to create the whole look. Our Palette and Banlight plain ranges have a wide variety of colours to choose from and we have included key trend colours to look at in these trend boards. Please do share photos of your finished rooms with us by linking into our Facebook or Twitter pages.

Classic Decoration

Classic Decoration is a trend whose foundation lies in the past. Traditional motifs and decoration provide the inspiration for this understated and feminine trend. Designs with a hand drawn and detailed feel such as Serene and Tranquillity will introduce bolder pattern to an interior whilst Clara or Mariella provide a more subtle, textural option.

This trend is perfect for creating comfortable and inviting interiors where the mix of textures in soft furnishings and design details are the focal points. A soft and gentle colour palette of earthy, neutrals and grown-up pastel shades allows fine details and patterns to come to the fore. Choose shades of Stone Grey, Iron, Sand and Tidal from Palette as a basis for this trend and mix in highlights of other colours such as Fog and Blue Haze for a cooler feel or Dusk and Orchid for a rich and warm look.

Check back next week as we continue our Spring/Summer 2016 trends with Artisan Traveller.
